چکیده

A total of 90 finishing pigs (52 ± 1.46 kg) were randomly assigned to one three dietary treatments as: TRT1 [CON (basal diet)], TRT2 + 0.05% yeast hydrolysate (YH)], and TRT3 (CON 0.1% YH) for an 8 wk trial. Each treatment had six replications five (three gilts two barrow) per pen. In weeks 4 8, YH supplement linearly increased (P < 0.05) body weight. Moreover, average daily gain was also with supplementation in week the overall trial period. At end trial, apparent tract digestibility dry matter, nitrogen, gross energy fed supplementation. addition, fecal Lactobacillus counts, insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) concentration, lean meat percentage by Also, elicited a linear reduction on drip loss during days 3, 5, 7. summary, positively enhanced performance, nutrient digestibility, count reduced traits pig. Thus, we infer that application S. cerevisiae can enhance efficiency pigs.

Effect of Phaffia rhodozyma on performance, nutrient digestibility, blood characteristics, and meat quality in finishing pigs.

The red yeast, Phaffia rhodozyma (PR), has possible applications as a component of diets for use in the animal industry. Its primary value lies in its content of astaxanthin, which has been shown to be an antioxidant several times more effective than vitamin E. A total of 96 ([Landrace × Yorkshire] × Duroc) crossbred pigs with an initial BW of 58.61 ± 3.05 kg were used in this 10-wk feeding stu...
